Volume V, Episode 2

Great drama
This is another Brit series that has lasted the test of time. I believe it is in its 21st season. It got beyond personal lives and woes that monopolized the first 4 or 5 series, but now, it is good, hard, detective work and then the trial. Sometimes they win some and sometimes they love some. Hard hitting drama. David Hayman is amazing. He would never make the final cut here, but they focus on talent in England, not looks. Guess that is why their series are successful and ours are pathetic flops,

Who is that woman? Certainly not Pat.
Volume I, Episode 1I love love love this series. But I am troubled by the misogyny of the cover art...part of what is wonderful about this show is the ordinariness of the central characters. Pat is no stunner either is her partner...I recognize him in the cover art. But who is the is the woman?? Certainly not Pat.

why aren't there more like this?
and what is this? a thoughtful cop show where first, gunfights are not used to fill the time slot and second, the main characters--most of the characters, actually--are not starlets and hunks. a flaw is all lawyers here are shown as pretentious twits, i'd prefer to see one occasionally played as some other stereotype. also subtitles would help.
