Volume II, Episode 2

Good series
This was a great season. I was almost put off by the gruesomeness of the crime, but the acting and characters sucked me in. It was exciting and showed some great police work. It keeps you glued right to the last minutes!

Women and violent imagery: how much is too much?
I liked Trial & Retribution Season 1 because of its gritty look at police work. I saw it as sort of a not bad knock off of Prime Suspect, not surprising since they both had the same writer. Season 2 was just too brutal for me. Television and media stories using women as victims of horrendous cruelty seem irresponsible to me. It's an easy attention grabber that does not take into account the real cost of such cruelty.

Worth watching it gets better with each episode
Story line is in general, excellent. Direction was a bit clumsy and the characters could do with a bit more fleshing out.
